I’ve always been the tag-a-long in my group of friends. I’m always the one who gets invited to hang out when no one else can. I’m always the one to sit alone on the floor while everyone else is together on the couch. I’m always the one who gets asked to take the picture instead of be in it. I’m always the one who sits in the very back of the car because no one else wants to. I’m always the one to get this or that. I’m always the personal punching bag for when someone’s having a bad day. I’m that one. But I don’t care because I’m always the one who isn’t in drama. I’m always the one who the parents want to invite over. I’m always the one to help people with their problems. I’m always the one who has a smile on my face every single day. I’m always the one to get up at 3 am to pick my friends up because they are too drunk or high to drive home. I’m always the one to make sure everyone is okay. I’m always the one who goes to party’s not to enjoy myself but to babysit you because I don’t want anything happening to you. I’m always the one who doesn’t get invited their parties or hangouts. I’m always the one who no one seems to know exactly why I’m in their friend group. I may not
seem important to them but without me they wouldn’t be anything because. I’m the backbone. I keep everyone afloat in this drowning life that they live in. I really don’t care if they don’t like me because I may not be the most popular one in the group, but I’m sure as hell that I will always be the strongest.
